Found a beat loop on freesound.org and Rob played bass to it running it through an Ibanez tube screamer.
Then added a beat with it using the octopad set up.
Tom suggested a pulse guitar rhythm and Rob played it running through the Rackarak amp emulator.
Then Rob put down some ideas for a lead guitar line.
Around mid-November Tom Revisited this song. Took out the bass and the drum loop and minimized the arrangement. Then restructured the parts and laid them out. Tom recorded a new acoustic guitar pulse and added a VST organ part and wrote and sang the first 2 verses. The first was recorded far away from the mic to give it an open room sound with the acoustic guitar and to make the first verse represent a dialog that was just thoughts running though a persons head. The second verse is closed mic'd to give the feeling of eyes being opened and the thoughts being right there.
In a different session Tom had Rob play a stripped down version of the guitar line and re-do a thumping drum part that was programmed in Renoise.
